If I, Aguwa Iheariochi Ambrose, Am Elected as Nigerian President Now-Now, These 7 Things Will Never See the Next 24 Hours (#3 is a Must!)

Introduction: The Time for Talking is Over

Nigeria is a blessed land, yet we are a wounded giant. For decades, our story has been one of squandered potential, broken promises, and leaders who speak fine words but fail in action. Our young people roam the streets without jobs, our parents retire with tears in their eyes, our graduates ride motorcycles not because they love it, but because survival has forced them. From North to South, East to West, hunger and frustration fill the air.

But imagine this: what if, in this very moment, Nigeria makes a bold decision to hand power to someone not tied by corruption, not bound by godfathers, not bought by the oligarchs, but driven by pure desire to heal and rebuild?

What if that person is me, Aguwa Iheariochi Ambrose?

If I am elected President of Nigeria now-now, I will not wait for months of “transition committees,” “policy papers,” or endless excuses. Within the first 24 hours, the nation will feel a shaking. Seven things that have kept Nigeria in chains will never see the next 24 hours.

Among these, one stands taller — #3: The Immediate Release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

Let me show you how, and why.

The 7 Things That Will Change in the First 24 Hours

1. A Complete Restructuring of Nigeria’s Security Architecture

The first duty of any government is to protect its people. Yet in Nigeria today, insecurity is our daily nightmare. From Boko Haram in the Northeast, to bandits in the Northwest, to kidnappers on our highways, to herdsmen–farmer clashes in the Middle Belt, to secessionist tensions in the South — insecurity has made Nigeria a graveyard of peace.

In the first 24 hours of my presidency, I will sack the current service chiefs and replace them with fresh, competent, patriotic officers chosen on merit, not nepotism. Nigeria’s security architecture will be restructured regionally:

  • Each region will have its own Regional Security Command, working hand-in-hand with community vigilantes.

  • Technology — drones, surveillance, and digital intelligence — will be introduced immediately.

  • Police reform will begin instantly, ensuring officers are properly paid, trained, and monitored.

No more insecurity. No more excuses.

2. Anti-Corruption Hammer Falls Immediately

Corruption is the termite eating Nigeria’s foundation. It is the reason why billions meant for roads disappear, why hospitals have no drugs, why lecturers go on strike, and why our leaders send their children abroad while leaving our universities to rot.

In my first 24 hours, I will sign an emergency anti-corruption decree:

  • All government bank accounts will be frozen for forensic auditing.

  • The EFCC and ICPC will be given autonomy to act without political interference.

  • A special “Recovery Task Force” will be created, focusing first on retrieving stolen oil money and looted funds.

  • Public office holders will be forced to declare their assets — immediately, publicly, and transparently.

No thief will sleep in peace.

3. The Immediate Release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu (A Must!)

This is not just a decision — it is a necessity.

For years, the detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has been a wound in Nigeria’s heart. Whether one agrees with his methods or not, the reality is this: his continuous detention fuels division, anger, and violence. A government that truly seeks peace must not be afraid of dialogue.

Within my first 24 hours, I will order the immediate release of Nnamdi Kanu.

Why? Because justice delayed is justice denied. Because peace cannot be forced through handcuffs. Because Nigeria cannot heal while one part of the country feels ignored and oppressed.

But his release will not be an endorsement of violence. Instead, it will be the first step towards genuine dialogue and restructuring. I will invite Nnamdi Kanu and other agitators for a National Unity Conference. At that table, we will discuss the future of Nigeria openly — restructuring, federalism, resource control, and self-determination where necessary.

Mark my words: with Kanu’s release, the fire of agitation will be replaced with the fire of dialogue.

4. Declaring a National Emergency on Fuel and Electricity

Every Nigerian knows this pain: fuel scarcity, epileptic electricity, and the high cost of living. It is a cycle that has crippled our economy for decades.

In my first 24 hours:

  • I will abolish the cartel system in fuel importation and make refineries functional again.

  • Independent marketers will be allowed to import fuel transparently, breaking the monopoly.

  • The electricity sector will be declared a state of emergency. All licenses given to incompetent companies will be revoked.

  • Renewable energy initiatives (solar and hydro) will receive immediate federal funding.

No Nigerian should suffer in darkness in a land so blessed with sunlight, gas, and oil.

5. Youth and Employment Empowerment Decree

Nigeria’s greatest strength is its young people, yet they are also the most neglected. Today, graduates sell recharge cards, ride bikes, or flee the country in search of better opportunities. This is unacceptable.

In the first 24 hours:

  • I will launch a National Youth Employment Fund to support startups, agriculture, tech, and innovation.

  • NYSC will be reformed into a job incubation platform — not just camping and marching.

  • 500,000 youth will be recruited into public works, digital jobs, and agriculture immediately.

If the youths are empowered, crime will reduce, migration will reduce, and Nigeria will rise.

6. Education and Healthcare Must Not Wait

Education and healthcare are the pillars of any nation. Yet in Nigeria, both are in ruins. Lecturers strike for months, and our hospitals are mortuaries in disguise.

In my first 24 hours:

  • I will declare free education up to secondary school as a national policy.

  • I will sign an order to end ASUU strikes forever by funding universities directly from federal allocation.

  • Healthcare workers will receive emergency allowances, and essential drugs will be imported at subsidized rates.

  • A policy to end medical tourism by politicians will take effect — no leader will be allowed to travel abroad for treatment while Nigerian hospitals remain poor.

7. National Broadcast: A Call for Unity and Healing

Finally, in my first 24 hours, I will make a historic national broadcast. In that speech, I will speak directly to every Nigerian — Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, Tiv, Ijaw, Fulani, and all others.

I will say: “We are one Nigeria, but not the kind of Nigeria where some dominate others. This is a Nigeria where everyone matters, where justice is for all, where unity is built on fairness.”

This broadcast will not be ordinary words. It will be backed by action. It will be the beginning of a healing process that Nigeria has waited for since 1960.

Beyond the 24 Hours: A 100-Day Glimpse

The first 24 hours will shake Nigeria, but the work will not stop there. Within my first 100 days:

  • A new constitution reflecting true federalism will be drafted.

  • Mass housing projects will begin in every state.

  • The naira will be stabilized through local production and reduced import dependency.

  • Nigeria will take its rightful place as Africa’s leader, not as Africa’s laughingstock.

    Conclusion: A Call to Nigerians

Nigeria does not lack natural resources. Nigeria does not lack intelligent people. What Nigeria has lacked is bold leadership — leadership that acts, not just talks.

If I, Aguwa Iheariochi Ambrose, am elected President now-now, the nation will feel a rebirth in 24 hours. Seven things will vanish immediately — insecurity complacency, corruption’s free reign, injustice to Nnamdi Kanu, fuel darkness, youth neglect, rotten education and healthcare, and the absence of true unity.

Nigeria’s time is now. And I am ready.
