DEATH! I'M DISAPPOINTED IN YOU - THE PAIN OF NOT SEEING DADDY UMAH UKPAI FACE TO FACE (NWASIR AGUWA)

Death! I’m Disappointed in You — The Pain of Not Seeing Daddy Umah Ukpai Face to Face (Nwasir Aguwa)

There are moments in life when words fail, when the soul trembles between pain and wonder — that moment when death strikes where it shouldn’t. When I heard that the great servant of God, Rev. Dr. Umah Ukpai, had finished his race, I felt a deep wound within. I whispered in silence, “Death! I’m disappointed in you.”

Why? Because death stole the opportunity I longed for — to see Daddy Umah Ukpai face to face, to hear him speak not from the pulpit, not through a television screen, but right there, eye to eye. I wanted to sit at his feet, to receive those fatherly words that carried both power and peace. I wanted to see the man whose words made the powers of darkness tremble.

But death, in its cruelty, came uninvited.

A Voice That Could Never Be Silenced

Rev. Dr. Umah Ukpai was not just a preacher; he was a divine phenomenon. His life was proof that God still walks among men through chosen vessels. His voice was soft yet strong, humble yet authoritative — a mix that only heaven could design.

When he said “God will punish poverty” or “You shall not die like an ordinary man”, it wasn’t just a statement; it was a prophetic declaration that charged the atmosphere with faith. He carried a peculiar anointing that made demons flee and destinies awaken.

Even though I never saw him physically, his sermons reached my spirit. Each message felt personal, like a letter from heaven delivered through a man who truly knew God.

Death May Win the Flesh, But Never the Flame

Yes, death came — but only for his body. It couldn’t touch his assignment. It couldn’t silence the fire he started. Great men don’t die; they multiply.

Rev. Dr. Umah Ukpai lives on in every life he touched, in every soul that found Christ through his ministry, in every minister he mentored, and in every believer he inspired. Death disappointed me, but heaven rejoiced. For while I lost a chance to see him face to face, heaven gained a mighty soldier home.

His name itself — “UMAH UKPAI” — tells a story of divine purpose. Each letter carries a mystery that mirrors his calling and his character. Let’s uncover it, one letter at a time.

U.M.A.H U.K.P.A.I — The Divine Code in His Name

U — Unshakable Preacher

Umah Ukpai stood like a rock amidst storms. His faith was unshakable.
When others compromised, he held on to truth. When trials came, he smiled in trust. His confidence in God made impossibilities bow. The man simply refused to be moved by what he saw — only by what God said.

M — Messenger Of The True God

He was a messenger with a heavenly seal.
Sent not by men but by God Himself, his words carried divine backing. Each sermon was a message wrapped in revelation, delivered with compassion, and sealed with miracles. Through his ministry, nations heard God speak in simplicity and power.

A — Apostle Of Faith

Rev. Umah Ukpai was an apostle of faith, revival, and purpose.
Like the apostles of old, he walked with authority. His ministry wasn’t about fame or fortune; it was about fire — the fire to see souls saved and Africa set ablaze for Christ. He built not just churches but movements that birthed men of God.

H — Healer Of Our Time

He carried the healing mantle with humility.
Through him, the sick rose, the blind saw, and the oppressed were set free. He didn’t boast about miracles — he let them speak for themselves. His crusades were hospitals of heaven where broken lives found restoration.

U — Unifier Of Believers

He was a unifier in the body of Christ.
In a world divided by doctrines and denominations, Daddy Umah Ukpai built bridges. He believed that what united us — the blood of Jesus — was greater than what divided us. He saw all believers as one big family under the Father’s love.

K — Kingdom-Builder

Every sermon, every outreach, every project he began was about one thing — building the Kingdom.
He didn’t seek titles or applause. His joy was to see Jesus lifted high. His foundation, ministries, and conventions all had one mission: to expand the Kingdom of God on earth.

P — Prophet Of Power

He was a prophet of divine insight.
When he spoke, heaven confirmed. His prophecies weren’t to excite emotions but to reveal destiny. Many can testify that one word from him changed their lives forever. He heard from God clearly, and his obedience produced results beyond imagination.

A — Ambassador Of Heavenly Mission

He represented heaven on earth as a true ambassador of Christ.
His life was a message — that it pays to serve God. He traveled across nations carrying the atmosphere of revival. Wherever he stepped, people felt the presence of God because he was a carrier of divine authority.

I — Inspirational Evangelist

Finally, the letter “I” stands for Inspiration.
Even in death, his life continues to inspire generations. His faith, his courage, his humility — all are lessons that live on. He inspired men to rise, women to believe, youths to dream, and ministers to serve.

He didn’t just preach faith; he became faith walking.

Death, You Have Failed!

Yes, I’m disappointed in death, but I am not defeated by it. For death has no victory where the Spirit of God reigns.
Rev. Dr. Umah Ukpai didn’t die; he simply changed address — from earth to eternity.

And every time I remember his teachings, I hear his voice echo:

“You shall not die like an ordinary man.”
“God will punish poverty.”
“When you serve God, He will serve you greatness.”

These weren’t just words. They were divine codes that shaped destinies — mine included.

His Legacy Lives On

Today, as we remember him, let’s not mourn like those without hope. Let’s live like those who believe. Let’s carry on his vision — to make the world know Jesus, to make the devil ashamed, and to live like kings of purpose.

For though I never saw him face to face, I carry his fire in my heart.

Death, you may have disappointed me — but you can’t defeat the legacy of Rev. Dr. Umah Ukpai. The general has gone home, but his voice still roars in eternity.

💎 Final Thought

Every generation is blessed with a few rare souls who remind us of heaven’s reality. Rev. Dr. Umah Ukpai was one of them.
He came, he served, he conquered, and he returned home a fulfilled soldier.

Death silenced his voice, but not his message.
Because legends never die — they live on through the lives they touched.
